HRT on menopause aggravating endometriosis

I’m on a chemical menopause to manage endometriosis, using 150mg Orilissa daily. My gyne said I will be on this long term until I reach menopause naturally in about 10-15 years. To help deal with the drug’s menopause-like side effects, my gyne had put me on 1mg estradiol and 200mg Prometrium. It wor...

Re: Endometriosis and perimenopause

One more thing - just to share my experience, I previously was on 200mg natural progesterone for the last 2 weeks of my cycle for about a year (with the goal of making endo manageable while TRC). Unfortunately there was no significant improvements, and I ended up choosing to go on Norlutate as I needed a break from the endo sy...

Re: Cyclic Progesterone Therapy

Hello! From my experience, it takes up to 3-4 months for your body to “get used to” HRT. (But love to hear what Lara says!) Hope it’s working well for you!

Using natural progesterone for endometriosis

My doctor has put me on Norlutate 5mg (Norethindrone) daily, to suppress symptoms of endometriosis. However I am experiencing some severe side effects which point to low estrogen symptoms (hot flashes, weight gain, 14+ days of debilitated migraines a month, while feeling nauseas and with severe hear...
