Menopause increases the risk of insulin resistance (pre-diabetes) and the cholesterol changes that can be downstream from that. I discuss in my book Hormone Repair Manual and my new book on metabolic health, coming in May 2024.

I think Evorel contains the progestin norethisterone, is that correct? Check the label.
Because that could be contributing.
Also, you could try a few days off the progesterone (Utrogestan) and then reintroduce it.

Of course, speak to your doctor, but many experts now think it's safe to stay on hormone therapy long-term. If you do stop it, yes. You'll need to taper down estrogen.

Inositol will correc the situation of too much testosterone, but will not lower testosterone below normal, so it's fine to take. As for a possible DHEA supplement during perimenopause, I think that can be a reasonable strategy. Androgens (including DHEA and testosterone) do gradually lower with age....
