HRT for period loss - oral vs. non-oral?

Post by Ajdennis »

I’m a 23 year old who’s been diagnosed with PCOS and also told I don’t have PCOS and have HA instead. Regardless, my period has been missing for 3 years, including some time while I was on the pill for 6 years. I’m taking bio identical progesterone oil cyclically and had a OBGYN prescribe estrogen for concern about osteoporosis and because my estrogen levels are chronically low (less than 50). My testosterone and progesterone are also low. I have SIBO and am worried about taking oral estrogen because of a history of digestion problems. Any advice on whether oral estrogen (estrace) is okay to take or if I should look for a second opinion and try to get a patch or cream? Thank you so much in advance
