Zinc / don’t take continually ?

Post by RoxaneB »

Hi! Thank you for this forum.
I have been taking Zinc for about 3 years now, since I was lucky enough to be meet Lara and be her patient and she recommended so.
Last week, a naturopath at the store told me i shouldn’t keep on taking it all the time and need to pause for at least 6 months. (It can deplete copper… amongst other things?) what are your thoughts?
I take Bisglycinate 30 mg /day.
Thank you! :)

The thing about zinc is that the body has no storage capability, so it must be consumed daily.

And copper depletion is not an issue as long as you stay below 60 mg. A dose of 30 mg is safe long term.
